I. Purpose of Position


This position plays the role of Software Engineering Team Leader in an Agile software development environment for software products. The main purpose of the role is to ensure timely delivery, while driving continuous improvement of velocity and quality (30% effort). This role also requires doing hand-on development (70% effort)



II. Key Responsibilities

  • and Develop software for Point of Sale – core and feature enhancement.
  • legacy code/applications and modules to new platform
  • and validate platform against legacy performance and full operating conditions.
  • in conducting code reviews.
  • quality applications as per company standards.
  • as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
  • design and code review to ensure compliance with standards.
  • a quick learner of the internal framework.


III. Relationships

This role will have Developers and Testers reporting to him/her.

Daily interaction with developers, testers, product owners, architects, software managers, Release Management and PMO.

Interaction with any areas of the Company as required to resolve impediments.




IV. Background and Skill


Must Have


Expert in C#.Net, OOPS

Bachelor's degree in a related field (BE/BTech/MCA)

Solid grasp and fluent in common design patterns

Knowledge of SQL databases

Knowledge of HTML5 - CSS

Experience in Jira, Agile and Scrum.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in Retail/POS domain is a plus.

PMP or other project management certifications (optional)

Backend Development

Implementing services in Java and/or Golang

Designing and building data storage and retrieval solutions using NoSQL

Building and operating distributed systems that communicate over message busses (ie Kafka)

Kubernetes primitives (Deployments, Pods, Secrets, Ingresses)

REST API Design, Development, and Security

Microservice Design Patterns

Modern CI/CD systems and code flow

Infrastructure as Code

Observability (Grafana/Prometheus)

Frontend Development

Developing Modern Web Components (Angular/React)

Micro Frontends (MFE)

Securing access to web applications via JWT/oauth2

Prototyping (XD/Figma) and associated UI/UX workflows
