Job Position- Senior Manager- HR

Job Location- Bavla -Ahmedabad Gujarat

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager HR to lead the Human Resources function at our ice cream manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in plant HR operations, industrial relations, statutory compliance, employee engagement, Contract Labour Management and talent development ,within an FMCG/food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. HR Operations & Strategy

  2. Oversee end-to-end HR functions at the plant, aligned with corporate HR strategy.

  3. Implement HR policies, SOPs, and best practices for smooth operations.

  4. Drive manpower planning and ensure timely hiring for plant requirements.

  5. Industrial Relations, Compliance & Contract Labour

  6. Maintain strong relations with union and labor representatives.

  7. Handle disciplinary matters, grievance redressal, and conflict resolution.
  8. Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, the Factory Act, and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, etc.).
  9. Oversee contract labour management including compliance, contractor coordination, and adherence to CLRA guidelines.

  10. Liaise with government authorities and external agencies for statutory audits and inspections.

  11. Employee Engagement & Culture

  12. Build a positive work culture that promotes productivity, safety, and employee well-being.

  13. Organize employee engagement, welfare, and recognition initiatives.

  14. Act as a mentor and trusted advisor for employees at all levels.

  15. HR Analytics & Reporting

  16. Monitor HR metrics (attrition, productivity, absenteeism, cost per hire, etc.).

  17. Provide regular reports and insights to management for decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • 12 To 15 years of HR experience, with at least 8 To 10 years in Plant HR / IR role in FMCG/food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, Factory Act, statutory compliance ,Contract Labour Management, and industrial relations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage large teams and a diverse workforce.
