ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Expectations:

Cloud Services Leadership: Spearhead the delivery of cloud services to clients, acting as a primary point of contact for their cloud infrastructure needs and driving strategic initiatives to optimize their cloud environments.

Cloud Transformation Consulting: Provide expert guidance and consultancy to clients on cloud transformation strategies, helping them assess their current infrastructure, define migration paths, and develop roadmaps for adopting cloud technologies.

Managed Cloud Services Management: Lead the delivery of managed cloud services, including infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, optimization, and support, tailored to meet the specific requirements and objectives of each client.

Cloud Migrations and Onboarding: Oversee the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, collaborating closely with clients to assess workloads, develop migration plans, and ensure seamless onboarding to cloud platforms.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals, challenges, and expectations, and proactively addressing their needs to drive customer satisfaction and retention.

Cloud Operations Team Management: Manage a customer-facing cloud operations team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, timely responses to client inquiries, and effective resolution of issues to maintain service levels and meet SLAs.

Cloud Governance and Compliance: Advise clients on cloud governance frameworks, security best practices, and compliance requirements, helping them implement robust controls and measures to safeguard their data and ensure regulatory compliance.

Cloud Cost Optimization: Collaborate with clients to optimize cloud costs and maximize ROI, conducting cost assessments, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize expenses.

Technical Advisory and Thought Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations on emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Service Delivery Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in service delivery processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging feedback from clients to enhance service quality, streamline operations, and exceed customer expectations.

Business Development and Growth: Support business development efforts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, contributing to the development of proposals and solution designs, and participating in client meetings and presentations to showcase the value of cloud services.

Technical Skills:

AWS Expertise:

Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud environments, including but not limited to AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and best practices, ensuring solutions are designed for reliability, security, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence.

Knowledge of AWS Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and expertise in implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to maintain high availability and reliability of cloud services.

Familiarity with AWS cost management and optimization tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS Trusted Advisor) to monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending, and expertise in implementing AWS Landing Zones to establish well-architected multi-account environments.

Azure Skills:

In-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and solutions, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM).

Proficiency in implementing Azure governance and compliance policies using Azure Policy, Azure Security Center, and Azure Blueprints, and expertise in designing and deploying Azure landing zones to establish standardized, scalable, and secure cloud environments.

Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Cost Management + Billing for monitoring, logging, and cost optimization, and knowledge of Azure Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles for ensuring reliability and resilience of cloud services.

Ability to architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions integrating Azure services with on-premises infrastructure and other cloud platforms, and familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration, deployment, and delivery.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise:

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Deployment Manager.

Proficiency in implementing GCP networking solutions using Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Load Balancing, and Cloud Interconnect, and expertise in designing and implementing GCP landing zones for consistent management and governance.

Knowledge of GCP cost management tools like Cost Management + Billing and recommendations for optimizing cloud spending, and experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance of GCP services.

Familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for container orchestration and management, and ability to design and deploy containerized applications on GCP, along with expertise in leveraging GCP's managed services for data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
