Senior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes-based architectures on cloud platforms, with a focus on emulating on-premises environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, integrating DevSecOps security scans (shift-left security).
• Collaborate with development teams to build Docker images and replicate production-like environments, ensuring seamless transitions from development to staging.
• Configure and optimize Ansible or Kubespray for automated infrastructure deployment and management.
• Lead the setup and administration of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS), including account management and ownership transitions, while adhering to regulatory compliance standards (e.g., SEBI Cloud Adoption Framework).
• Perform security scans on source code and artifacts, generating detailed reports to enhance application security.
• Establish and maintain near real-time communication channels with external development teams to coordinate environment variables, database dumps, and build configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, adapting to evolving project needs and tight timelines.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to strategic planning to accelerate time-to-market.

Required Skills and Experience

• Expertise
  : 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native technologies (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, and containerization (Docker).
• Technical Proficiency
  : Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Ansible/Kubespray, and DevSecOps practices, including security scanning tools and shift-left methodologies.
• Cloud Knowledge
  : Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure setup, management, and account ownership transitions, with a track record of working in regulated environments.
• Communication
  : Proven ability to establish and manage real-time collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Teams, Zoho) with external teams, ensuring efficient technical coordination.
• Problem-Solving
  : Ability to navigate complex, mid-project integrations and deliver solutions under time constraints, with a history of overcoming technical and policy-related blockers.
• Collaboration
  : Experience working with distributed teams, including external vendors, to align on build processes, environment replication, and security requirements.
• Adaptability
  : Comfort with fast-paced projects requiring quick pivots, such as transitioning from mock data to live source code integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps (e.g., CKAD, CKA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
