American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. To maintain success, accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are critical for the organization. The Sales Enablement, Pricing and Transformation (SPT) team within the Commercial Business Enablement organization is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. Our team’s vision is focused on being essential architects of growth, profitability, and operating efficiency for GCS. SPT’s mission is to power GCS growth through the provision of informed pricing, sales enablement support and process transformation.

The Transformation and Automation (TAG) team within the SPT organization, is a transformation engine serving GCS leveraging expertise in Automation, Process Engineering, Data Analytics & Advanced Project Management to deliver critical business solutions that drive direct financial impact, enhanced productivity, and increased safeguards for the business.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Senior Analyst, within TAG will support the delivery of GCS strategic projects for the TAG organization.The role is highly visible with great exposure to cross functional business teams and success is measured on driving delivery of expected outcomes.

The Senior Analyst will report to Senior Manager – D&A, TAG and work closely with other Senior Managers and Directors on the team to support the execution of strategic initiatives.

·Provide Ad-hoc support (Data and Analytical) to the TAG teams.

·Extracting business data from various source systems, Transform the data while applying Business Logics/criteria and perform the Analysis.

·Present results of analytic projects to business, non-technical audiences.

·Calculate cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for Strategic Projects and collaborate with Finance team to validate benefits.

·Provide project support working alongside TAG Managers/ Directors.

·Partner with multiple stakeholders across the American Express including, Product, Sales & AD, Marketing, Technologies, Operations Excellence, Finance, Operations to support the execution of the strategic projects.

·Prepare presentations for finance and business leaders to effectively communicate Program Progress and drive decision making.

Minimum Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or related fields

·5+ years of expertise in domains like Data & Analytics, Program Management and Management Information systems

·Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (Big Data/Hadoop, Oracle, SQL, Teradata, etc.).

·Able to work with large and cross-functional teams.

·Excellent written and oral communication skill

Preferred Qualifications

·Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets

·Project Management/Six Sigma certification
