Position Summary:

As a Senior Data Analyst at Round Circle, you will lead efforts to analyze complex data sets, generate meaningful insights, and provide data-driven recommendations to support our business objectives. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design analytical solutions, and present findings to stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in data analysis, a deep understanding of statistical methods, and a passion for uncovering insights within data.


What we're looking for

  • Analytical experience in a digital environment (preferably but not necessarily in web or mobile analytics)
  •  Have experience setting metrics and finding baselines for them and communicating them in and outside of the team
  • You are familiar with data visualization tools and concepts (previous experience with Tableau appreciated)
  • Very strong working knowledge of SQL (writes efficient, easy to read, and crisp SQL code) we welcome MS-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL or any other dialect
  • You are familiar with a concept of experimentation
  • You have worked with data processing and optimization using Python and/or R
  • You can A/B test and interpret the results and have a solid understanding of statistics


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract valuable insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques and methodologies to interpret data trends and patterns, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
  • Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Preprocess and clean data to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement predictive models to support forecasting, segmentation, and optimization efforts.
  • Data Mining: Identify relevant data sources and perform data mining to discover hidden patterns and trends.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analyses and support business inquiries with data-driven insights.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Data Governance: Assist in maintaining data governance standards and best practices.
  • Documentation: Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings for reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a strong track record of conducting data analysis and generating actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
  • Strong statistical and quantitative analysis skills, including experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS).
  • Data visualization skills using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data preparation and cleaning techniques.
  • Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Previous experience in [industry/sector] is a plus.
