Job Title: Apigee Solution Architect

Job Description:

As an APIGEE Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing API solutions using the APIGEE platform. Your role will involve working with technologies such as Nginx, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure our APIs are scalable, secure, and performant. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop API strategies and solutions that meet our business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

API Development and Management:

  • Design, develop, and manage APIs using the APIGEE platform.
  • Define API standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Create API proxies, policies, and security protocols to protect and optimize API services.

Platform Management:

  • Configure and maintain the APIGEE platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Monitor API performance and usage, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality and platform performance.

Integration and Deployment:

  • Integrate APIs with backend services and third-party systems using Nginx and Kubernetes.
  • Deploy and manage API solutions on GCP, leveraging cloud-native services for scalability and efficiency.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for API development and deployment to ensure rapid and reliable delivery.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure APIs are secure by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of API solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Documentation and Training:

  • Develop comprehensive documentation for API solutions, including design specifications, usage guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams and stakeholders on API best practices and usage.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in API development and management, with a strong focus on APIGEE.
  • Proven experience with Nginx, Kubernetes, and GCP.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in APIGEE platform configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of API design, RESTful principles, and API security best practices.
  • Proficiency with container orchestration using Kubernetes and deployment on GCP.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
