You will serve as the crucial link between business stakeholders and technical development teams, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for AI solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of product management principles, strong communication skills, and a solid grasp of AI capabilities and limitations to deliver impactful and user-centric AI products. Product Roadmap & Prioritization: Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog and product roadmap for AI products and features, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business value. This includes regular reviews (e.g., QBRs ) and tracking against OKRs . Requirements Gathering & User Stories: Elicit, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria, specifically for AI/ML models and applications. Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, AI engineers, data scientists, and other development teams, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and fostering strong relationships. This includes proactive stakeholder management and planning . Agile Product Development: Lead AI product development within an Agile framework, participating in ceremonies, facilitating decision-making, and ensuring the team delivers value iteratively. Market & User Research: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback sessions to identify new opportunities for AI solutions and understand user needs and pain points. Feature Definition & Acceptance: Clearly define AI-powered features, work closely with development teams during implementation, and formally accept completed work to ensure it meets requirements and quality standards. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI products, monitor their performance post-launch, and iterate on features to drive continuous improvement and business value. Risk & Compliance Management (AI Specific): Work with legal, compliance, and risk teams to ensure AI products adhere to regulatory requirements, ethical guidelines, and internal policies, addressing potential biases or fairness concerns. Manage and track risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (e.g., using a RAID log ). Launch & Adoption: Collaborate with business, domain and operations teams to ensure successful launch and adoption of AI products, including training and support materials. Technical Understanding: Maintain a solid understanding of the underlying AI/ML technologies and their limitations to make informed product decisions and facilitate effective communication with technical teams. Your skills and experience Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Professional Experience: Proven experience (14+ years) as an IT Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a strong track record of managing and delivering technology products, particularly those involving AI/ML components. Product Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of product management methodologies, including Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), backlog management, and product roadmap planning. Experience with QBRs and OKRs . AI/ML Understanding: Foundational understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts, including LLM (Large Language Models), RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), Agentic AI , natural language processing (NLP), machine learning lifecycles, and MLOps principles. Technical Aptitude: Ability to engage in technical discussions with AI engineers and data scientists, understand system architecture, and challenge technical approaches when necessary. Familiarity with Python and SQL . Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into viable AI product solutions. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and bridge technical and business gaps. Strong stakeholder management , planning , and risk management (e.g., RAID log ) abilities. Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Experience in the financial services industry, especially Private Banking, and familiarity with its processes and regulatory landscape, is highly desirable. Tools & Technologies: Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) to understand AI model outputs and product performance.
