Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior SAP BW Developer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP BW artifacts, SAP ABAP programming, and SQL scripting to design, develop, and optimize complex data warehousing solutions. This role requires an independent contributor who can lead solution design, provide mentorship to junior team members, and contribute to the organization//'s data strategy. The candidate will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions on both on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end SAP BW solutions (7.5 and below) including data modeling, extraction, transformation, loading, and reporting.
  • Develop and optimize SAP BW artifacts: data models, ETL processes, process chains, reporting, and authorizations.
  • Deliver high-quality ABAP programming within the BW context (transformations, extractors, function modules).
  • Write and optimize SQL scripts for complex queries and performance tuning.
  • Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks in BW data loads, queries, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with client executives, technical leads, and partners to drive successful implementations of cloud and on-prem SAP solutions.
  • Propose and architect cloud-based SAP deployments aligned with customer requirements and best practices.
  • Work with internal specialists and engineering teams to package best practices, lessons learned, and methodologies into reusable assets.
  • Act as a mentor to junior developers, providing guidance on SAP BW solution design and development.
  • Manage project scope, risks, deliverables, and timelines while ensuring successful client outcomes.
  • Advocate for customer needs, address adoption challenges, and provide input for new feature development.
Required Skills & Experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 8+ years of SAP BW development, implementation, and support experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex SAP BW solutions in enterprise environments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expert-level knowledge of SAP BW artifacts including data modeling, ETL, process orchestration, reporting, and authorizations.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in SAP ABAP programming within BW.
  • Solid expertise in SQL scripting, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with system optimization and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks in BW.
  • Understanding of cloud-based SAP deployments and integration with GCP, Azure, or AWS is an advantage.
