Job Title: Senior Lead Engineer - Symantec platform Job Overview Join the founding team at Certus and help in building a cutting-edge Semantic  Platform designed to help enterprises discover deep insights from their  proprietary data. We are looking for an experienced, "AI native" senior engineer  to take a leading role in building our solution. You will be responsible for  architecting and implementing a system that leverages Large Language Models  (LLMs) and a PostgreSQL vector store to break down data silos. This role is  critical to delivering our value proposition: a unified semantic layer that allows  all enterprise users to get answers via ad-hoc natural language queries.  Requirements: 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on  building AI-driven, data-intensive applications.  • Proven experience designing and building systems using LLMs and vector  stores.  • Expert-level knowledge of PostgreSQL, including its capabilities as a vector  store. Strong experience in backend development (e.g., Python, C, Go, Java) and  system architecture.  • Experience with data modeling, data normalization, and building semantic  layers.  • Familiarity with concepts from RAG pipelines, Agentic workflow. Candidate Qualifications & Skill Requirements: . Should be a qualified engineer in software development . Deep technical knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and  . Natural Language Processing (NLP).  • Expertise in PostgreSQL and vector database technologies.  • Proficiency in system design, data structures, and algorithms.  • Ability to build and maintain scalable data connectors.  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.  Desired competencies  • Ability to move quickly and build solutions in a fast-paced  environment.  • A passion for "AI native" development and building products that  reduce complexity for users.  • Strategic thinker who can see the "complete 360 view" of a data  problem.  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Location: Remote working - USA - Pacific time zone
