Research And Development Manager

Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the R&D team, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure efficient and effective research and development activities.- Conduct research to develop new products, improve existing formulations, and optimize production processes, specifically focusing on
polyurethane dispersions, water-based acrylics.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to develop and commercialize new products in alignment with market demands and customer requirements.- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to paints, inks, and coatings, and utilize this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively, ensuring timely completion of research and development projects.- Provide technical support to customers, troubleshoot any product-related issues, and offer solutions and recommendations as needed.- Maintain accurate records of research activities, experimental data, and formulation recipes in compliance with company policies and standards.- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the R&D department.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in research and development of specialty chemicals, preferably in the paints, inks, and coatings sector.- Strong knowledge and expertise in polymer chemistry, with a focus on
polyurethane dispersions, water-based acrylics.- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing R&D projects, from concept development to commercialization.- Familiarity with laboratory techniques, equipment, and analytical methods used in chemical research and development.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the paints, inks, and coatings industry.
