Job Description

Overall responsibilities and duties:

The Middleware Domain Leader is responsible for coordinating engineering activities related to Software development for middleware domain.In detail needs to establish detailed software requirements, architectural design and to ensure low level design, code construction, unit testing, code reviews, static analysis and to deliver software of high-quality keeping program QCD KPI’s intact.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:Minimum education level:Master's degree in Computer Science/ Electronics / Software engineering.Proficient in EnglishExperience:15+ years of experience in Embedded Software development for Automotive domain8+ years of experience in Team Lead/managementSkills and competencies:Must Have:Multiple project achievements in Middleware domain for IVI ECUs based on Linux and/or Android.Very good understanding of Linux & Android architecture and frameworkHands-on technical expertise in Middleware domainVery good knowledge on other domains: BSP, vehicle network, diagnostics, HMI, etcExperience in Architecture (IVI, IVE, Display, Wireless Charger, Remote Tuner, Cluster Accessories, ADAS, IMS/DMS) based on RTOS, Linux and Android.Experience in Inter process and processor communications.Experience in debugging (Jtag, serial etc.), performance analysis and optimization in various layers.Experience in working with Middle layer libraries for Multimedia (Gstreamer, FFMPEG, LibVLC), Graphics (OpenGL), Security (crypto, cybersecurity) etc.Good understanding of Continuous build using Jenkins, Linux and Android Build tools.Experience in integration and validation methodologies.Experience in working with Git and Gerrit.Project and Risk ManagementSoftware development, planning and monitoringAgile methodologyHigh capacity of synthesis for technical issuesProblem solving attitudeAtlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) knowledgeExcellent business level of English.Nice to have:A-SPICEAgile development/scrumFunctional safety and ISOResponsibilities:Define & lead workload planning for the team and ensure adequate staffing for the customer deliveriesDefine & lead technical competency development for continuous skill enhancementProactive risk management in identifying dependenciesDefine and drive engineering KPI’s to bring efficiency and productivity improvement actionsCoaching and technical mentoringTechnical solutions identification at Software level.Organizes task forces and participates actively in critical issue solving on software Requirements, Architecture to solve technical problems and propose corrective actionsTracking, monitoring and reporting projects progressMindset/Attitude:High Leadership skill, ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedbackHigh Communication skill, ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of peopleHigh Customer Satisfaction Skill, ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency and even increase expectationsHigh in Initiative & Execution skill, Ability to take actions, decisions in promised timely mannerVery high Ownership/Commitment skill, Ability to take full responsibility for decisions & results even when all elements are not under individual direct controlProactive, autonomous, rigorous and quality mindset.Strong communication skills in English
