At Tejas Networks, System Engineering team, integral to the PLM organization, plays a crucial role in crafting every successful customer experience. Comprising skilled and committed professionals from various wireline technology domains, the team ensures that customers enjoy a seamless and gratifying journey from pre-sales through to network deployment and beyond. System Engineering division is a close-knit group of network enthusiasts dedicated to designing and implementing robust, maintenance-free networks that stand the test of time.
What You Work:
As a Staff Engineer you will be responsible for driving development and sustenance various Network Functions and/or platform for our Routing Team. You'll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive innovation and ensure high-quality deliverables. You'll leverage your expertise to solve challenging problems and contribute to strategic engineering decisions.
- Responsible for initial deployments of new routing products, respective new technology, major feature roll outs.- Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment.- Design and implement routing systems and networks.- Responsible for RFI/RFP.- Develop High level customer design HLD and able to prepare LLD (Low Level design).- Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs).- Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same.- Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions.- Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation.- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, SR, RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, Virtual Chassis etc.).- Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.- Interact with diverse teams like R&D, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements.- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG & TAC Team.- Develop and implement network security measures.- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Mandatory skills:
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Effective communication and collaboration skills.- Should be well versed in IP routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, SR.- Should have understanding and application of MPLS based on LDP, RSVP and BGP.- Should be an expert in FRR techniques at various layers (IP FRR, RSVP TE FRR).- Should be an expert in L2VPN, VPLS, VPWS and L3VPN service constructs.- Should have hands-on working experience in service provider networks or product testing.- Should have customer interaction experience.- Should be willing to travel domestic and abroad.- Professional level Certification for Service Provider is a plus.
Desired skills:
- Certification in routing (CCNP, CCIE-SP/JNCIE-SP etc.).- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 to 15 yrs experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.- Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree.- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
