Manager-PR

We are starting an exciting new chapter in Chennai and are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Manager – PR to lead our presence in this market. This role is ideal for a multi-tasker who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building relationships, and is keen to grow as an integral part of our team. The person will act as the face of our organization in Chennai, focusing on building a strong team, expanding our client pool, and ensuring seamless coordination with the Bangalore headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

· Client Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for client-related activities in Chennai. Ensure seamless coordination and communication with client teams based in Bangalore to deliver projects and services effectively.

· Team Building
Take ownership of building and managing a strong local PR team in Chennai, Leading, mentoring, and performance management to support organizational growth.

· Client Acquisition & Expansion
Focus on expanding the client base in Chennai by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and pitching PR solutions that align with client needs.

· Media Relations
Build, maintain, and leverage strong media relationships in the Chennai market. Actively support PR campaigns, press releases, and media outreach to enhance the organization's brand visibility.

· Content Development & Servicing
Prepare and manage professional communication materials such as emails, presentations, documents, press releases, and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

· Operational Support
Provide support to other teams during critical periods such as bandwidth challenges, multiple team member leaves, or high workload situations. Exhibit flexibility and problem-solving skills.

· Meetings & Travel
Represent the organization in client and stakeholder meetings locally. Travel to Bangalore occasionally for internal meetings, training, and key events to strengthen team integration.

Qualifications & Skills Required

· Proven experience in PR, client servicing, media relations, and team management

· Good understanding of local media landscape in Chennai

· Strong communication and writing skills (emails, reports, press releases)

· Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills

· Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment

· Willingness to travel occasionally (Chennai Bangalore)

· Strong work ethic and ability to work onsite

· Basic understanding of digital and traditional PR practices is a plus

Do you have what it takes?

· 8-10 years of Proven experience in PR, client servicing, media relations, and team management

· Good understanding of media landscape in Chennai

· Strong communication and writing skills (emails, reports, press releases)

· Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills

· Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment

· Willingness to travel occasionally (Chennai Bangalore)

· Strong work ethic and ability to work onsite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
