Role Summary:

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will lead the technological vision and strategy for the company. You will spearhead the development of our marketplace platform, ensure scalability, security, and performance, and build a robust engineering team. This role requires a visionary leader who can translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies while fostering innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy & Vision
  • Define and execute the company’s technology roadmap to build and scale the marketplace platform.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to maintain the platform’s competitiveness and ensure innovation.
  • Align the technology strategy with the business goals, ensuring technological advancement drives growth.
Platform Development & Management
  • Oversee the architecture, design, and development of the marketplace platform.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform to handle large transaction volumes and complex use cases.
  • Implement best practices for software development, security, and deployment processes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology team, including engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between technical and non-technical teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Partner with product and business teams to prioritize features, user experience, and technical improvements.
Data & Analytics
  • Leverage data to enhance user experience, optimize operations, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and implement AI/ML-driven tools for personalized recommendations, pricing strategies, and predictive analytics.
Compliance & Security
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding data privacy and security.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect user data and transactions.
Qualifications: Technical Expertise
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering, technology leadership, or similar roles, ideally in a marketplace or e-commerce environment.
  • Hands-on experience with full-stack development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and API integrations.
  • Deep understanding of scalable architecture, microservices, and DevOps practices.
Leadership Skills
  • Strong ability to lead, inspire, and grow a diverse technology team.
  • Track record of aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
Domain Knowledge
  • Familiarity with the automotive or commercial vehicle industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in marketplaces.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach when needed.
