Our client are currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Financial Accounting.



Principal Responsibilities

  • Extensive involvement with all stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for reviewing and monitoring adequacy of internal controls in the process.
  • Experienced in delivering IFRS and regulatory reporting deliverables.
  • Establish and run a strong quality control framework for outputs and activities.
  • Drive governance on exceptions and seek inputs from various stakeholders.
  • Lead new projects/assignments/process: Identify, Drive, Build & operate it as BAU.
  • Connect with other departments for end-to-end and satisfactory service delivery.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan work in an efficient manner.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Accounting and reporting principles.
  • Functional experience in accounting for all balance sheet/income statement heads.
  • Ability to meet KPI timelines including under stringent deadlines and high-pressure situations, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.



Requirements

  • CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA/ICWAI with at least 8+ years or B. Com with 12+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting and reporting.
  • Prior experience in month-end closure processes and Site Reporting is required.
  • Good Knowledge of banking and trading products, including derivatives.
  • Proven track record of role in controllership in the BFSI sector and sound knowledge of financial products and businesses such as Retail, Private, Commercial Banking and Global Banking, etc.
  • Good knowledge of Analytical tools, MS Access Database, SAS will have an added advantage.
  • Change and transformation experience will be a plus.
  • Working knowledge of GL System.
  • Experience that demonstrates ability to deliver BAU and Change/Transformation Projects.
  • Experience in policy interpretation and implementation.
