- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.).
- Monitor and manage GST payment processes, including input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation.
- Stay updated on the latest GST amendments, circulars, and notifications, ensuring the business remains compliant.
- Liaise with tax authorities for assessments, audits, or inquiries related to GST. Tax Planning & Advisory:
- Advise the organization on tax-saving opportunities and GST optimization strategies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to GST compliance.
- Conduct GST impact assessments for business transactions, contracts, and projects.Financial Operations & Reporting:
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closures, ensuring proper accounting of GST transactions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage the overall tax accounting and reporting processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on GST-related matters.Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team in understanding and managing GST requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, legal) to ensure smooth GST compliance in various operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government authorities.Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or CMA preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in GST compliance, taxation, and financial management.
- Strong knowledge of the Goods and Services Tax Act and related laws.
- Proficiency in financial software systems (e.G., SAP, Tally, Oracle) and GST-related tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Preferred:
- Experience in managing audits and assessments with tax authorities. Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.
