Role : Backend Engineer - Django

Note: This is a founding engineer role.

At Zintlr, we are building a new 'people intelligence' segment from scratch. Our product is at the cutting-edge of AI, Psychology and large-scale data. We believe that we have an opportunity (and even a responsibility) to personalize and humanize how people interact over the internet; and an opportunity to inspire far more trustworthy relationships online than it has ever been possible before.

We currently focus on selling ‘prospect intelligence’ to sales teams and help them book more meetings and close more deals. Our customers include from 33 different country and they love the product. The tool is selling like a hot cake, And we have barely started yet.

 

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • You would build critical components of a cutting-edge AI system
  • You would help create the infrastructure that can serve 1000s of customers and millions of data requests per hour.
  • While there would be a Lead Architect to guide you, you should be able to produce high-quality code with minimal oversight.
  • You would also work closely with the Product Owner to build engineering capabilities that align with the evolution of the product.

 

Requirements :

What really matters

  • Very strong knowledge in Django & Python is mandatory.
  • Solid familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases ( like MySql and MongoDB)
  • Practical knowledge and experience in deploying solutions on GCP / AWS. Good knowledge of state-of-the-art web service architectures and associated
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals
  • Should have played a key role in building at least one backend web app/product (even if it is a hobby project)
  • Your values, ethics and character
  • Love for programming and computers, hobby projects etc.

 

What Matters A Little

  • A strong recommendation by a technology person that we (would) have a lot of respect for
  • Hands-on exposure to NodeJs and Angular/React JS..
  • Experience with Elasticsearch or other advance database systems.
  • Your knowledge and interest in Web Applications and Machine Learning space
  • Your participation and success in competitive programming
  • The school that you come from
  • The organisations where you have worked earlier

 

What Does Not Matter

  • The number of years of experience that you have
  • Your scores and grades in school, we don't care about them
  • Your style of working

 

Personality Expectations:

We believe that it takes a certain type of personality to do a certain kind of role well.

For this role, we expect that you are someone who is passionate about making things work, and making them look good. You know how to maintain balance between perfectionism and pragmatism. You plan your work well in advance, and don’t leave things for the last minute (unlike most engineers). You are creative and research oriented, and love to explore ways to find things that you don’t already know.

On the other side, there is only one thing that we care for apart from performance - your values. We have room for mistakes on the performance side, we have no room for mistakes on your values.
