Job Summary

The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of mainframe applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. With a focus on delivering high-quality solutions the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and the ability to guide and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of mainframe applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of applications.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure smooth operation of applications.
  • Develop and implement best practices for coding testing and deployment of mainframe applications.
  • Monitor application performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mainframe technologies and incorporate them into projects.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide training to enhance their technical capabilities.
  • Contribute to the companys purpose by delivering solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong understanding of CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol with hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Show proficiency in developing and implementing best practices for mainframe application development.
  • Display the ability to mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills.
