Purpose Of Job:The Data engineer will be part of the team supporting Nouryon’s Azure data platform team. As an Azure Data Engineer at Nouryon, you will play a vital role in transforming the organization into a data-driven enterprise by designing and delivering IT solutions, improving data quality, identifying opportunities for value creation, and supporting and maintaining the data platform.The role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including subscription and data access management, technical application management on Azure, handling change requests, and security monitoring and incident response.

About the job (Job Responsibilities)Data Platform Support and Maintenance (50%) Support and maintain the Nouryon Data Platform, including incident and change management.Continuous Improvement (20%) Continuously improve the Nouryon Data Platform by enhancing data quality and implementing innovative cloud services Design and Transformation (20%) Design and deliver IT solutions to transform Nouryon into a data-driven organization.Contribute to the vision of Nouryon as an Intelligent Company Value Creation (10%) Proactively identify new opportunities for Nouryon to derive more value from its data.Other: Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform and store data into Nouryon data platform.Creating a structured representation of these data objects, including their attributes, relationships, and hierarchies.

We believe you bring (Education & Experience)Master / bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of studyProfessional with at least 5+ years of experience as Data Engineer, preferably with Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server, Logic apps, Azure Functions and Azure Databricks and CICD PipelinesCertified MS Azure Data Engineer (DP-200 and preferably DP-201) · Experience with at least one of following activities: build cloud-based data pipelines, create and support azure devops CICD pipelines ·Experience in and knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, data warehouses, metadata and ETL with Microsoft SQL Server,Knowledge of tools like: Python.Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse, PowerBI, MS Fabric is an advantage · Experience with working in Agile/ Scrum teams.Subscription Access ManagementManage role-based access grants for users in Nouryon Data Platform subscriptions and Resource Groups.Ensure correctness of role assignments and compliance.Monitor for non-compliant role assignments.Data Access ManagementManage role-based access grants for users, service principals, app registrations, and security principals in Nouryon Data Platform data storage resources.Utilize AD groups for Role-based Access Control and manage AD group memberships through ServiceNow requests.Monitor and respond to incidents and alerts related to Data Access ManagementDevelop and manage monitoring and alerting components for all Nouryon Data Platform resources.Perform performance monitoring for Nouryon Data Platform data storage resources and identify bottlenecksUndertake SQL Database Administration activities and monitor Azure Data Factory pipeline executions Provide/implement Azure-based components for Nouryon Data Platform developers and monitor Nouryon Data Platform components.Handling Change Requests Handle Change Requests related to Nouryon Data Platform workloads Manage standard and normal Change Requests related to data pipelines and datasets Follow Nouryon’s Operational Procedures for Change Management and manage Change Requests through Service Now.Security Monitoring and Security Incident ResponseMonitor data access and subscription access using Azure resources and custom-built tools Respond to security alerts and incidents with support from the Cloud Platform teamThis role also entails the management of CMDB entries and requires collaboration with Enterprise Architects, stakeholders, and Nouryon’s operational procedures for Change Management.The Azure Data Engineer will be responsible for resource allocation, project management using Azure DevOps, and integration with Nouryon’s Service Now for Change Requests.
