Position SummaryPurposeThe Technologist I, Infrastructure Applications is responsible for creating, testing and publishing software packages in an enterprise System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) deployment system.

Duties & Responsibilities

FunctionsESSENTIAL§Create, test and publish SCCM packages and applications§Resolve software deployment and other problems related to software installation and use.§Troubleshoot and resolve installation and deployment issues affecting the workstation environment.§Work with technicians to help resolve software installation problems§Create technical end-user documentation on problem resolution.Provide status reports to the leads and managers as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities§This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.Reporting Relationship§Reports to Infrastructure Applications Manager

Qualifications

QualificationsREQUIRED§Minimum five (2) years' experience in the below or equivalent combination of education and experience.oCreating and testing SCCM software applications and packages§Basic knowledge of the System Center Configuration Manager Console§Basic skills using Active Directory in a distributed global enviroment, basic scripting ability using Powershell, batch files, Autoit, Vbscript, etc., and basic knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.DESIRED§Experience with Windows/Office patch deployment within SCCM§Familiar with creating and managing operating system images using SCCM§Experience with deployment tools such as AdminStudio or other enterprise software packaging tools§Basic knowledge of scheduling and deploying application upgrades in an enterprise enivironmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics§Basic knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager.§Experience in automation technologies using scripting languages§Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills§Creative thinker who actively pursues processes improvements§Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from external and internal customers.§Ability to create technical documentation
