Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Responsible for ensuring the product is meeting quality requirements and standards by testing and monitoring at every stage of development and suggesting corrections and improvements.


Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following.

You will be expected to:

  • Work directly with Product Managers and developers to gain a good understanding of the product and test basis.
  • Carry out an overall testing strategy in collaboration with the team.
  • Design, Implement, maintain and document test cases (manual/automated), test scenarios & test plans in test management systems.
  • Work in regular cadence based Agile methodology (Scrum or Kanban or similar framework)
  • Understand & champion QA best practices defined for the team
  • Participate in backlog grooming & forward looking exercise
  • Work along with team for Sprint planning and estimations
  • Guide and mentor junior team members.


Requirements

Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:

  • Test automation experience including designing & development of test frameworks for either UI and/or backend services; experience with both is preferred.
  • Strong Automation tool knowledge with working experience of at least a few years like Selenium,Playwright,Cypress etc
  • Hands-on experience on TestNG Framework, Pytest, Robotframework, BDD/Cucumber or any industry standard frameworks.
  • Hands on experience on any language JAVA/JS/Python/Golang
  • Basic knowledge on OOPS (At Least 2 years of working experience)
  • Functional QA experience testing responsive Web applications
  • Hands-On experience on API based application and testing
  • Experience in CICD Integrations for test applications
  • STLC Process Understanding
  • Knowledge on Agile ceremony and artifacts
  • Ability to understand database structure (schema / collections), create and execute SQL queries for validations and assertions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)


Additional areas that would add value:

  • ISTQB or similar certifications
  • Performance Testing Experience using JMeter
  • Manual & Automation Testing Experience on iOS & Android apps
  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
  • Experience in security testing and tools.


Education and experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 5+ years of manual and automated QA experience
