·        We operate as a five-day working company, from Monday to Friday.

·        Approximately 90% of our work involves international clients, while 10% is with domestic clients.

·        We have offices in Australia, Canada, and the Philippines, with our headquarters located in Melbourne.

Role Overview: As a Python and Django Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our web applications. You will work closely with our frontend developers and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Your experience with either React for frontend development or microservices for backend development will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Applications:  Build and maintain robust web applications using Python and Django. Ensure code quality, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate on Frontend and Backend:  If you have experience with React, work closely with frontend developers to integrate APIs and ensure a seamless user experience. If your expertise is in microservices, collaborate with the backend team to design and implement scalable microservice architectures.
  • Optimize Performance:  Monitor and optimize application performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and improving overall efficiency.
  • Code Review and Quality Assurance:  Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Problem-Solving:  Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Documentation:  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and system configurations.
  • Stay Current:  Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously improve your skills and apply new knowledge to your work.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:  Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in Python and Django development.
  • Frontend or Backend Experience:  Demonstrated experience with either React (for frontend) or microservices (for backend). If experienced with React, strong understanding of frontend technologies and integration with backend services. If experienced with microservices, proven experience designing and managing microservice architectures.
  • Technical Skills:  Proficiency in Python, Django, RESTful APIs, and database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools is a plus.
  • Version Control:  Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Problem-Solving:  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Communication:  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
