Job Description:

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend services, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. You will work closely with our product and frontend teams to deliver high-quality solutions that drive our mission forward.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI.
  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Containerize applications using Docker for consistent and reliable deployments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployment pipelines and manage infrastructure on Azure.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring they are well-documented and meet industry standards.
  • Ensure the backend system is compliant with healthcare regulations and data protection standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, providing quick and efficient resolutions.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and services.


Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in backend development, preferably in the healthcare domain.
  • Proficiency in Python: Strong experience with Python and FastAPI framework.
  • Database Expertise: Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Docker: Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Azure: Proficiency in deploying and managing applications on Azure, including Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, and other related services.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment practices.
  • APIs: Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Security: Understanding of security best practices, particularly in the context of healthcare data.
