Roles & Responsibilities of DGM - Weaving

Operational Management:Oversee day-to-day weaving operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.Implement and monitor production schedules, adjusting resources as necessary to maximize efficiency.Evaluate and optimize weaving processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Technical Leadership:Provide technical guidance on weaving machinery, including

rapier, air-jet

looms Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance fabric quality.Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in weaving technology, recommending upgrades as needed.Quality Assurance:Conduct regular inspections and audits of woven products to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements.Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Team Management:Lead and mentor weaving supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and develop talent within the weaving department.Facilitate effective communication between the weaving department and other operational units.Strategic Planning:Contribute to the development of departmental budgets and forecasts, managing resources effectively to meet financial targets.Collaborate with the General Manager to set long-term strategic goals for the weaving department.Engage in cross-functional initiatives to align weaving operations with overall company objectives.

Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the weaving area.Promote a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring safety protocols.

Qualifications & Qualities:Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.17+ years of experience in the textile industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role within weaving operations.In-depth knowledge of weaving technologies and processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in quality management systems and operational excellence methodologies.Proven ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving operational excellence.Capability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive departmental performance.Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration across various departments and levels.

Primarily factory-based, with regular interaction with production teams and senior management.Occasional travel for supplier audits, industry conferences, or training.

Work Location - Chandole, AP.Candidate preference: Textile industry experience required & who can join immediately or within 30 days.
