McCloskey by OPIS is hiring an experienced individual to join our global editorial team as Associate Director, Ferroalloys. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop our global news coverage and price reporting services for Ferroalloys and its Feedstocks. You will be a critical part of our Steel and Steel Raw Materials group.This is a senior position within the global editorial team that involves managing junior staff. You will also work alongside our industry-leading steel and steel raw materials research team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies to grow our market presence and subscriber base.Identify prices to launch and promote (including the specifications and methodology), with particular attention on the growing Indian Ferroalloys seaborne market.
Oversee the creation of daily, weekly and monthly market reports, price assessments and newswires.
Establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including producers, traders and consumers of ferroalloys.
Engage in business development, assisting OPIS' account managers in the sales process through maintaining sales pipelines and assisting in the sales process.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for price reporting and market analysis.
Be a public face of McCloskey and OPIS in the Ferroalloys space, via client/partner engagements, industry presentations, media interviews, content marketing.
Required SkillsAt least 10 years of experience in the steel or steel raw materials industries and/or markets.Substantial price reporting experience in Ferroalloys and related markets.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent ability to present and to lead public discussions (eg. moderating panels at conferences)
Bachelor's degree (in in a quantitative discipline preferred)
