Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and processes. The primary responsibilities include implementing ISO 9001 standards and subsequently integrating EN, ISO, and relevant RDSO standards for railway machines. The Senior Quality Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive quality documentation for inward, in-process, and outward quality control.


Key Responsibilities:

ISO 9001 Implementation:

  • Lead the implementation of ISO 9001 standards across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards.

Standards Integration:

  • Implement EN, ISO, and relevant RDSO standards for railway machines.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards and ensure their integration into the company's QMS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align processes with these standards.

Quality Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain quality documentation for inward, in-process, and outward quality control.
  • Ensure all quality records are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process products, and final products.
  • Ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  • Address non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and quality enhancement.
  • Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Foster a quality-conscious work environment through regular communication and training sessions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the railway equipment industry.
  • Proven experience in implementing ISO 9001 standards.
  • Knowledge of EN, ISO, and RDSO standards for railway machines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
