Manager- Credit Risk and Analytics

- Design and development of advanced risk analytics solutions and credit rating systems in collaboration with Analytics, IT and Business teams.
- Prepare various business intelligence dashboards and reporting tools for reporting to senior management.
- Assist CRO and Lead- Risk Analytics to review and analyze existing business strategies; recommend and implement new strategies that will help manage credit risk and drive growth in all credit verticals.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

- Business/ Financials (Only Relevant roles) Design & Implement credit scorecards for various asset classes
- Ensure lifecycle management of all existing/ new scorecards (Application & Behavioral).
- Perform regular model monitoring and continually improve the model governance practices
- Translate business problems into clear analytic problem statements.
- Collaborate and assist in designing and development of advanced analytics solutions in collaboration with Analytics, IT and Business teams.
- Measure and articulate how analytic results help in improving Bank’s business and financial metrics.
- Involve in scoping, development and deployment of explanatory, predictive and prescriptive solutions.
- Build and Develop BI dashboards and reporting frameworks.
- Coordinate with business, credit, compliance and audit to formulate and enhance the risk management framework.
- Customer (Both Internal & External) Coordinate with IT and operations to implement new scorecards & pricing frameworks agreed by business and credit
- Drive communication of all risk related policies, guidelines, latest developments across the bank to facilitate compliance to it.
- Present new scorecard strategies to management committees and board. Provide leadership by interpreting regulatory guidelines related to credit risk model management & governance.
- Internal Process- Regular review of the risk outlook and impact of portfolio quality and recommend risk mitigation measures, if warranted.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Credit Risk reports. Interpret the information and suggest actions for consideration by Senior Management
- Participate in scheduled meetings of Risk management Committee (for credit risk only)
- Proactively work on the monthly or quarterly regulatory reporting on risk related aspects
- Ensure the committee recommendations are documented and implemented effectively.
- Provide inputs for collating Tranche I and II points as part of Risk Based Supervision
- Innovation & Learning- Maintain a knowledge base of best practices followed for credit risk modelling, provide advice on upgrading existing infrastructure and link the same to pricing strategy.
- Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations, keeping abreast with the most recent developments in regulations, notifications and circulars and disseminate the information regarding new regulatory developments
- Maintain a knowledge base of strategy failures and implications, provide advice on preventive actions and link the same to risk strategy.
- Ensure goal-setting, midyear -review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for self.
- Participate in industry level discussions to debate on the regulations or the best practices of risk management impacting micro banking, whenever called.
- Train credit and business on the risk management framework
- Participate in relevant business, credit, collections and audit reviews
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Educational
Qualifications
Post-Graduate or Advanced Degree in Data Science/ Statistics
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management from a Nationalized Bank/ Private Sector Bank/ Large NBFCs.
Certifications
Function Specific Certification (CFA, FRM) is preferred
Functional Skills
- Excellent programing skills (Python, SaS, R)
- Sound understanding & clear experience of Credit Scorecard Development & Implementation.
- Good Understanding of portfolio management techniques including analytics.
- Understanding of Risk Management principles & thorough understanding of the evolving practices for the management of credit risk and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of RBI polices/guidelines relevant to SFBs/ NBFCs
- Experienced in Visualization Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) is preferred
- Experienced in SQL is preferred
- Knowledge of Risk Based Pricing & ECL Modelling is preferred
