Technocraft Centre for Applied AI (TCA2I) is one of the 30 research centers that has its focus on the translational research in the field of Artificial Intelligence that converts the IP generated in lab to practice through, Govt , Defence and Industry use cases.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site contract role for a Senior Project Manager at TCA2I, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay located in Powai, Mumbai. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the following:-


  • Draft and conclude MoUs with Govt/Defence/ Industry.
  • Co-ordinate Projects being undertaken with Govt/Defence/Industry.
  • Prepare technical proposals for seeking Grants from Govt for research.
  • Prepare Technical part of the RFPs for outsourcing of services/products.
  • Explore opportunities to bid for Govt/Defence Projects in collaboration with Industry Partners.
  • Select projects from GeM and Defpro in area of Focus of TCA2I.
  • Coordinate internship of IITB students in Industry.
  • Inter-department co-ordination with Departments and Centres of IIT B for courses and projects.
  • Internal Project Monitoring (TCA2I and Other Department).
  • External Project Monitoring (Industry Partner).
  • Coordinate the Conduct of CEP courses.
  • Propose and Conduct Monthly Project Proposal Review.


Qualifications

  • BTech in CS/IT/Electrical/Electronic with 08 years of relevant experience preferably in IT Industry after graduation.
  • Any bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience after graduation with inclination towards IT projects.
  • An MBA/PGDM degree/diploma though not necessary, will help reduce the above experience criteria by 2 years.
  • Experience in handling projects and managing activities associated with it.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Short courses in AI/ML or Data Analytics would be an added advantage.
  • ex Govt and Defense Officers would have an added advantage.
  • Most important qualification would be "Zeal" to achieve.


Pay & Perks

  • The pay for this role is fixed at PR-O3 of the IIT B schedule of pay that includes, Basic Pay, inflation component and out of campus allowance.
  • This being a contractual job, no accommodation would be provided on campus.
  • 20 days of Earned Leave and 10 days of Casual Leave and 05 Sick Leave in a year.
  • Medical OPD cover at IITB Hospital.
  • Access to facilities (sports and eat outs) at the campus.


Other Points

  • There will an initial 89+89 day contract period which based on the performance will be converted to a yearly contract renewable at end of every year.
  • The role and position are best suited for age group of 30 - 35 years.
