Job Description – Purchase Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, vendor relationships, and ensure timely supply of materials and services. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to balance cost efficiency with quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate vendors/suppliers for materials, products, and services.
  • Request and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, operations, accounts, etc.) to meet purchasing needs.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor database.
  • Monitor stock levels in coordination with the warehouse/inventory team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports (cost savings, supplier performance, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement/purchasing (industry-specific experience is a plus).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices and market trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
