We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Modular Interior Designer to conceptualize, design, and execute modular furniture layouts and interiors for residential spaces. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of space planning, modular systems, material selection, and ergonomic design, and be able to translate client needs into functional and aesthetic modular solutions that Furbishy envisions via the bespoke thought process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop modular design concepts for kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, and other built-in furniture using space-saving and efficient systems.
- Create accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design tools.
- Work closely with sales teams, clients, and site supervisors to gather requirements and suggest design proposals.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for modular systems based on project scope, budget, and durability.
- Ensure modular designs comply with ergonomic standards and client specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors, carpenters, and production teams to ensure accurate fabrication and timely installation.
- Conduct site measurements, supervision, and quality checks during execution.
- Keep up with trends in modular furniture design, sustainable materials, and new product innovations.
- Solutions to be brought in from solid R&D
SKILLSET & QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in modular design (kitchens, wardrobes, etc.) preferred.
- Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or similar.
- Strong understanding of modular systems, joinery, materials, and fittings.
- Excellent visualization, communication, and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
