Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 support for Hadoop clusters, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
Manage and maintain Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka, and Oozie.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Collaborate with L1 support to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Implement and monitor security measures to protect data and infrastructure.
Optimize performance of Hadoop clusters by tuning configurations and resource allocations.
Document procedures and best practices for Hadoop operations and support.
Assist in capacity planning and scaling of Hadoop clusters to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 plus years of experience in Hadoop administration and support.
Proficiency in Hadoop ecosystem tools and technologies (HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka, Oozie).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
Familiarity with security protocols and best practices in Hadoop environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
