Job Summary:
As the Sr. Engineer for Electrical and Electronics Product Safety and Performance Testing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the testing and reporting of E&E products, including appliances, electronics, and other consumer goods. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, provide technical expertise and ensure that products meet relevant safety and performance standards (e.g., IEC, UL, CE, etc.). Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in testing protocols, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of engineers and testing professionals to conduct safety and performance testing on household products.
  • Testing Oversight: Oversee and ensure the execution of safety testing, performance testing, and reliability evaluations for a broad range of E&E products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all testing procedures and results comply with global safety standards (e.g., IEC, UL, CE, BIS, etc.) and relevant regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, equipment, and testing methods to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve product quality.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all test results, including preparation of detailed reports for customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of emerging trends in E&E product safety testing, new regulations, and technological advancements to ensure testing protocols remain current and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in E&E product safety and performance testing, with a strong background in testing standards and protocols (e.g., IEC 60950, IEC 61010, IEC
  • Expertise in safety testing (e.g., IT, Audio and Video products) and performance testing (e.g., efficiency, durability, user safety) of household products.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards and certifications applicable to Electrical and Electronics products
  • Proficient in using testing equipment such as multimeters, hipot testers, thermal chambers, vibration testers, and electrical safety analysers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on improving product safety and performance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams, interact with clients, and present complex technical information clearly.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO and industry compliance requirements for electrical and electronics products.
  • Hands-on experience participating in NABL, BIS, and TEC audits.
