Position Title: Senior Finance Executive

Experience Level: 5+ years


Job Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Finance Executive to join our dynamic finance team. This position requires strong expertise in handling indirect taxes, specifically Goods and Services Tax (GST), along with solid experience in managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in finance, with a deep understanding of tax compliance, financial reporting, and optimizing the accounts processes.


Key Responsibilities:


Indirect Taxes & GST Compliance:

  • Oversee and manage all GST-related processes, ensuring timely and accurate filing of returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
  • Maintain compliance with all indirect tax regulations, including GST, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns; ensure proper reconciliation of GST paid and received.
  • Analyze and ensure correct accounting of tax credits, liabilities, and payments.
  • Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities on indirect tax matters.
  • Assist in tax audits, assessments, and dispute resolution.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Oversee and manage the entire accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
  • Work closely with the internal teams to ensure smooth invoicing and other requirements that are handled efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of receipts and apply payments correctly.

Accounts Payable:

  • Supervise the accounts payable processes, including the processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports.
  • Ensure that all payments are made on time, in compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval workflows for payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and ensure accuracy in financial records.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to GST, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Assist in monthly close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide analysis and insights into working capital management, cash flow, and financial performance.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls for tax, accounts receivable, and payable functions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with local regulations.



Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, with a focus on indirect taxes (GST), accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Strong knowledge of GST regulations, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in Tally Software
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and month-end closing processes.
