Role Summary:
TOVO, an innovative and rapidly expanding fast dining experience chain, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of HR Operations. The successful candidate will lead, induct, form, and operate the Human Resources Department (HRD) to support TOVO’s mission of revitalizing the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry by bridging the gap between taste and health. This role is crucial for driving TOVO’s growth and ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with the company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business objectives of TOVO.
Lead the HR department, providing direction, mentorship, and development opportunities for the HR team.
Ensure alignment of HR practices with TOVO’s mission, values, and goals.
2. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Design and oversee the recruitment strategy to attract top talent for various roles within the company.
Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the TOVO culture.
Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and fill positions in a timely manner.
3. Employee Development and Training:
Create and manage comprehensive training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
4. Employee Relations and Engagement:
Develop and maintain positive employee relations by addressing employee concerns and grievances promptly.
Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve workplace satisfaction and retention.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with TOVO’s values.
5. HR Operations and Compliance:
Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HR information systems (HRIS).
Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness.
6. Organizational Development:
Lead initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and address organizational challenges and opportunities.
Drive change management initiatives to support the company’s growth and expansion.
7. Compensation and Benefits:
Design competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.
Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure TOVO remains competitive in the market.
Manage annual compensation reviews and performance-based incentive programs.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the QSR or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing HR teams.
Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
