About this role:

We are seeking talented front-end engineers with exceptional expertise in JavaScript and related web technologies to join our team, which develops leading Video on Demand and live streaming solutions globally. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, strong technical curiosity, and excellent communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to work across web, Smart TV and Chromecast platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of front-end developers
  • Own and drive the development of new cutting-edge front-end features and user interfaces for our core audio/video content delivery platform and cross-platform applications
  • Optimize solutions for performance, modularity, and scalability
  • Enhance user experience while ensuring compatibility with existing platforms
  • Integrate and develop backend services and APIs


Requirements:

  • At least 6+ years in JavaScript development and related web technologies
  • Proficiency in React, ES2016, TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Strong familiarity with performance tuning and optimizing web-based applications, from the UI to the network layer
  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, Sass or Less
  • Experience working with at least one Smart TV platform (WebOS, Tizen, Vidaa)
  • Experience working with at least one non-desktop platform (e.g., Chromecast, PlayStation)
  • Exposure to CI/CD processes
  • Knowledge of Agile practices, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with high-traffic, dynamic sites, and building and designing solutions to minimize latency
  • Proven track record of driving design and code quality standards across the organization
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, management, technical teams, and other stakeholders to define product and project requirements
  • Proven experience in building and managing a cohesive team of development engineers


Good to Have:

  • Experience with backend JavaScript using Node.js and/or PHP
  • Experience in the video or broadcast media industry
  • Knowledge of advertising technology and/or big data real-time telemetry solutions
  • Ability to break down abstract problems into concrete solutions
  • Skilled in identifying and componentizing common abstractions
  • Passionate about front-end technologies, with the ability to distinguish between hype and practical application
