Job Description:We are seeking a Major Incident Manager with expertise in Azure cloud technologies to overseethe efficient and effective management of major incidents. The ideal candidate will play a criticalrole in ensuring that our Azure-based systems and services are resilient and that anydisruptions are promptly addressed, minimizing downtime and impact on our operations.Key Responsibilities:Major Incident Management: Lead the coordination, communication until the resolutionof major incidents that impact our Azure-based services. This includes taking ownership of incidents, assembling cross-functional teams, and driving the incident management process toresolution.Azure Technical Expertise : Possess in-depth knowledge of Azure services, infrastructure, and configurations. Provide technical guidance to incident response teams during major incidents to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with technical teams, support staff, and relevant stakeholders to ensure swift and effective response to major incidents. Facilitate communication and coordination among involved parties.Documentation : Maintain detailed incident records, including timelines, actions taken and resolutions.Incident Escalation : Understand incident severity levels and ensure appropriate escalation procedures are followed to engage necessary resources and expertise.Incident Process Improvement : Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the incident management process and contribute to the development and improvement of incident management practices.Emergency Response : Be available for on-call duties and respond to major incidents outside of regular working hours as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.Proven experience in managing major incidents, especially in Azure cloud environments.ITIL Certification is mandatory.Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are highlydesirable.Strong technical background with a deep understanding of Azure services, andinfrastructure.Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively coordinate incident responseactivities.Familiarity with incident management frameworks and best practices.Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to incident resolution.Strong analytical and documentation skills.Working Conditions:
This role may require working outside of regular business hours to respond to major incidentspromptly. It may also involve remote work and on-call responsibilities as needed.
