Position: Purchase Manager

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Industry: Cranes & Heavy Machinery

Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years

@SEERAJ GROUP is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager with a strong background in cranes and heavy machinery procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers to ensure timely procurement of machinery, spare parts, and related equipment at competitive prices.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for cranes, heavy machinery, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective and quality procurement.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for required machinery parts and consumables.
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends, new suppliers, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare purchase orders, agreements, and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Track procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, lead time, etc.) and prepare periodic reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records of all procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and project teams to align procurement with organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on cranes, heavy equipment, and machinery.
  • In-depth knowledge of machinery and crane spare parts, suppliers, and industry standards.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, MS Office, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
