Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technology Head to lead our government projects division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully implementing technology solutions. They will possess comprehensive knowledge of the intricacies of government projects and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the technology strategy for government projects, aligning with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of technology projects, from conception to implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing tailored technology solutions.
Team Management: Lead a multidisciplinary team of technology professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive excellence and innovation.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to leverage specialized expertise and resources for project delivery.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology projects, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful outcomes.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, implementing robust governance frameworks to uphold integrity and security.
Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential for application in government projects and recommending strategic investments.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness and impact of technology solutions, driving continuous improvement.
Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, fostering transparency and accountability in project delivery.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven 10+ years experience in a leadership role within the technology sector, with a focus on government projects or public sector organizations.
Demonstrated expertise in managing the entire product or service lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and beyond.
In-depth understanding of government processes, regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly within the Indian context.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement processes.
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and IoT, and their potential applications in government projects.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
