We are hiring Head of Technology for a growing E-commerce company in Mumbai.


Job Location : Powai, Mumbai (WFO)


Responsibilities:

• Come up with the vision, technology roadmap, and goals for the team.

• Lead the team to a vision, be responsible for a solid architecture, performance, and quality.

• Create clear career paths for team members and ensure their growth by mentoring them.

• Attract and hire top engineering talent.

• Translate product requirements and come up with different solutions.

• Come up with extensible Low-level and High-level tech design.

• Break down the project into tasks and provide accurate estimates.

• Write modular, extensible, readable, and performant code.

• Champion best development practices followed in UC and drive adoption.

• Build with platform first approach.


Requirements:

• 7-12 years prior experience in designing and implementing systems with clarity, reusability, testability, and scalability in mind.

• Excellent design skills.

• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Nodejs, Python, GoLang, etc)

• Proficiency in one or more frontend framework ( Javacript, HTML5,Angular, React, etc)

• Ability to drive technical discussions and help fellow engineers make critical choices.

• Bachelor's/master's in computer science from top tier engineering school.

• Hands-on experience in designing and building microservices and familiarity with the cloud-native landscape.

• You are invested in solving real-world problems in high-growth startups like UC.

• You have a strong bias towards action.
