Role Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented marketing specialist with a fundamental understanding of PR to join our dynamic media and marketing team. As a Digital Marketing and PR specialist, you will play a crucial role in strategizing and implementing marketing strategies for the SE. Your primary responsibilities will include content management, implementing marketing strategies, taking care of the brand’s image and contributing to the overall success of our media and marketing channels. 

 

Key Tasks & Accountability: 

  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive website traffic. 
  • Collaborate with editorial and content teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with the business needs 
  • Manage and curate engaging content for social media channels, newsletters, and the website, ensuring it resonates with the target audience 
  • Develop PR strategies and handle media inquiries to ensure consistent positive coverage of the news website and company’s initiatives and programs 
  • Conduct regular reviews to identify and correct content errors or issues. 
  • Work closely with writers, editors, and other team members to create and improve content quality and SEO effectiveness. 
  • Analyzing the market to identify the target audience and current market trends 

 

Experience and Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field- Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or equivalent work experience. 
  • Proven experience of at least 2-6 years in the field. 
  • Understanding of on-page SEO principles and best practices. 
  • Experience with Keyword Research. 
  • Familiar with optimising images and graphics for social media using Canva, Adobe, etc. 
  • Social Media Management (Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube). 
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and formatting. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with PR roles. 
  • Digital Marketing experience. 
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
