Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join V&A Consulting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, preparing direct and indirect tax filings, and ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial records and prepare journal entries in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit reports, and tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).

Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and bank transactions.

Assist in GST filings, TDS calculations, and tax return preparations.

Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws and regulatory requirements.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve efficiency and compliance.

Collaborate with internal teams to meet client accounting and tax compliance needs.

Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a CA firm.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.

Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, TDS, and Income Tax laws.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills along with high level of attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Completed CA Inter is a plus.
