We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive technical excellence across the organization. As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to oversee all aspects of the engineering department.
You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams to drive innovation, product development, managing multiple projects, executing company's engineering strategy, ensuring successful product development and technological advancement within the organization.
This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's technical vision and ensuring the successful execution of projects with efficiency and quality.
The candidate must possess :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record (12 + years) of successful leadership in engineering roles, managing complex projects and high-performing teams.
- 10 + years of experience in managing enterprise scale technology solutions.
- 5 + years of experience in AWS Cloud based solutions.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and engineering principles with expertise in programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies relevant to the organization's technology stack.
- Authenticity and commitment to coach engineers across various levels
- Craft a process for skills progression, influencing careers, and build leadership skills.
- Proven expertise with cross-functional collaboration to achieve the best results.
- Ability to formulate a product roadmap, develop and execute on a multi-year plan, and deliver tangible value to our technology and business partners.
- Agile mind set and leadership principles along with experience managing delivery in a matrix organization.
- Strong leadership skills: you must be passionate about engineering excellence, standards and best practices, empowerment of individuals/team, innovation, collaboration and must be someone who's eager to learn and instruct every day.
- Collaborate on the cloud and data strategy for the platform.
- Continuously develop & maintain outstanding team expertise and talent to support the squads & groups with the right level of knowledge and skills.
- Supervising the performance of team members, providing feedback and mentoring.
- Sharing knowledge and expertise within and outside of the team ensuring the how of the work performed by the teams is aligned with established road maps and guardrails.
- Enforce existing engineering practices and setting new ones as and when needed.
- Understanding of modern software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with scalable and high-availability infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute a strategic technical vision in alignment with business.
