Legal Advisory:Support the Head – Corporate Legal to develop and lead implementation of legal strategy and promote & protect legal interests from Indian law perspectiveProvide time-sensitive support on a wide array of legal inquiries in connection with all aspects of business and operations. Ensure day-to-day legal needs of all departments are adequately supported.Risk Identification:Identify and consult on legal risks in connection with any external partnerships, development of new products, regulatory, cyber security, intellectual property requirements and any other matters as needed.Deal Negotiation:Provide legal support on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiriesExternal Counsel Management:Liaise with specialist external counsel in relation to original new products, expansion into new market verticals and any other matters as neededLitigation Management & Notices:Manage any ongoing litigation pertaining toEnd to end management and coordination of legal notices received or to be sent byCompliance Support:Work with and advise compliance team on all ongoing compliance review processes, including necessary filings, policies and procedures. Ensure compliance of all statutory and legal requirements including filingMonitor changes to regulatory requirements and advise compliance on proactively handle regulatory developmentsTeam Management:Manage and monitor day to day operations of legal team resourcesDevelop and implement internal processes for efficient and streamlined operations around developing and maintaining agreement forms, contracts and other legal documentation and processesQualificationsGraduate/Postgraduate in LawExperience10 years of Experience working in or advising Financial Services or new age Fintech firms is highly preferredFunctional CompetenciesBreadth of legal expertise – Understanding of wide variety of laws applicable to financial services firmsWell versed with corporate legal compliance, policies and frameworkGood in anticipating and identifying legal issues of the Company and proactively develops effective legal strategies and practical solutionsBehavioral CompetenciesProactive and self-motivated, have a keen eye for detailExcellent leadership, team building, and management skillsHighly collaborative with team orientationAbility to handle ambiguity
