Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Alwarpet, Chennai

Reports to: Director/CEO

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and streamline the day-to-day operations of our UX/UI design company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing business operations, financial processes, vendor relationships, and project management. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills to ensure smooth functioning across all departments and timely project delivery, enabling the creative team to focus on delivering exceptional design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, development, sales, HR) to align business goals.
  • Monitor workflow and suggest process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

Finance & Budgeting

  • Manage company finances, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable and coordinate with external accountants/auditors.
  • Ensure timely payroll processing and statutory compliance.
  • Provide insights on cost optimization and resource allocation.

Vendor Management

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships ensuring quality service and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address issues proactively.

Project Management

  • Work closely with project teams to plan, track, and deliver client projects on time and within budget.
  • Implement project management tools/methodologies for effective tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure resource allocation and workload balancing for timely project delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams when required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of operations, finance, and vendor management.
  • Proven project management skills with knowledge of tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of compliance, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership and team management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience in operations/project management, preferably in a design/creative/IT industry.
  • Experience in finance handling and vendor management is essential.
  • Prior experience in a UX/UI or creative design company will be an added advantage.
