Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting precise land surveys, establishing property boundaries, and ensuring accurate spatial data for construction projects. Your expertise will directly influence project planning, design accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all phases of development. With 8–9 years of hands-on experience in construction surveying, you will play a critical role in supporting site preparation, grading, excavation, and infrastructure alignment. This position demands technical precision, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of surveying instruments, software, and industry standards. Your work will ensure that every construction milestone is built on a foundation of accurate data, minimizing risk and enhancing project efficiency. Responsibilities: Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using advanced surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanners). Prepare detailed survey maps, reports, and digital models for project stakeholders and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure alignment between survey data and construction plans. Verify and stake out building locations, grading levels, utility alignments, and roadways on-site. Perform as-built surveys to document completed work and validate compliance with design specifications. Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. Interpret legal descriptions, deeds, and land records to resolve boundary disputes and clarify property lines. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations and safety standards. Supervise junior surveyors and field technicians, providing guidance and training as needed. Utilize surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center) to process and analyze spatial data. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred). 8–9 years of progressive experience in construction surveying within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Proficient in operating total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, robotic instruments, and laser scanning technology. Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other survey data processing software. Valid state surveyor license or eligibility for licensure (e.g., PS, PLS) is required. Strong understanding of land surveying laws, zoning regulations, and construction documentation standards. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in varied field conditions. Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy. Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting, collaboration, and client interaction. Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as required. Requirements Manage the day-to-day operations at the construction site, ensuring project timelines, quality, and safety standards are strictly adhered to. Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan construction activities efficiently. Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and budget compliance, taking corrective actions as needed. Lead site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and safety norms on-site. Identify and resolve potential issues proactively to avoid project delays or cost overruns. Supervise material procurement and inventory management at the site. Mentor and guide project engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
