Technical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager with 10-15 years of experience in Data & Analytics to coordinate, plan, and execute analytical and data engineering deliverables end to end following agile delivery methodology. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, particularly in data warehousing, engineering & BI reporting. The Technical Manager will drive and own the delivery of projects, training, and onboarding freshers in respective tech stacks.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Sound understanding of project management tools such as Jira, MS project etc. Manage project timelines and resources effectively using project management tools like Jira, Excel, and Google Sheets. Sound understanding of breaking down the requirements in use stories and aligning them with the delivery of BI Analytics reporting user stories. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Coordinate with stakeholders on project requirements and delivery. Managing the team bandwidth, prioritizing and de-prioritizing user stories per team availability and bandwidth in a given sprint. Creation and maintenance of release documentation. Taking the responsibility for end-to-end data ingestion from various business entities across the globe into Snowflake. Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or delays.Team Management:
Lead and manage the Data Engineering and BI Analytics team Ensure effective collaboration and communication within and across teams. • Handle the teams’ deliverables and ensure project timely and quality completion. Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation. Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to discuss project progress and resolve issues.Technical Expertise:
Provide technical leadership in DBT, PL/SQL, Snowflake, Python, DevOps, Data Modelling, and Tableau. Ensure the teams are utilizing the best and most appropriate technologies and methodologies. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure the organization remains competitive. Evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure as needed.Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar role. Strong knowledge of DBT, PL/SQL, Snowflake, Python, DevOps, Data Modelling, and BI Reporting tools such as Tableau/Cognos/PowerBI. Experience in managing technical teams and projects. Proficiency in project management tools like Jira and Mircosoft project management tool. Strong capability to work under pressure and own to deliver a quick fix for any production issues by co-ordinating with different stake holders. Excellent coordination skills with its counterpart and different stakeholders in business and with different teams. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong training and mentoring skills. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for timelines and graph creation.Preferred Skills & Experience:
Master's degree in a related field. Certifications in Tableau/Cognos/PowerBi, Snowflake. Experience in hiring and onboarding freshers. Experience in implementing new systems and infrastructure.Personal Attributes:
Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to drive and own deliverables. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
