Livehy Energy Pvt Ltd is a startup working on the development of PEM electrolyzer. Our team is committed to developing cutting-edge solutions for hydrogen production through Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysis, contributing to the global transition towards a carbon-neutral future.

Position Overview:

We are seeking talented and motivated people to join as Scientist/Senior Scientist in our MEA (Membrane Electrode Assembly) team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, optimization, characterization, and cost reduction of MEA.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop MEA for PEM electrolyzers, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, lifetime, and cost-effectiveness.

2. Conduct experimental work to fabricate electrodes ink formulations and fabricate MEA

3. Collaborate closely with other teams, including stack design team, testing team etc. to integrate MEA designs into electrolyzer systems

4. Perform detailed characterization and analysis of MEA performance under various operating conditions, utilizing techniques such as electrochemical testing, impedance spectroscopy etc.

5. Lead efforts to identify and address key technical challenges associated with MEA development, including catalyst utilization, ionomer optimization, and membrane durability.

6. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in PEM electrolyzer technology and contribute to the developing of new catalysts, membrane to reduce overcome supplly chain constraints.

7. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.

8. Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in experimental design, data analysis, and project execution.

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

- Experience in PEM electrolysis, membrane electrode assembly (MEA) development, or related electrochemical systems.

- Strong background in electrochemistry, including practical knowledge of electrochemical testing techniques and instrumentation.

- Proficiency in materials characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, XRD, and FTIR.

- Hands-on experience with fabrication and testing of PEM fuel cells or electrolyzers is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
