Role Description

This is a hands-on recruiting role — not coordination, not resume forwarding. You'll work directly with founders and engineering leadership to understand requirements, build pipelines, and close top talent. Your mandate: find and secure engineers and designers who raise the bar for our company.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of top technical talent (engineers, designers, DevOps, data specialists).
  • Conduct credible first-line screenings: you'll know the difference between buzzwords and real expertise.
  • Partner with leadership to refine job profiles, interview structure, and hiring metrics.
  • Track and report recruiting KPIs (time-to-fill, pipeline quality, offer acceptance rate).
  • Ensure a premium candidate experience — every candidate should leave with respect for our brand.
  • Stay sharp on talent market movement and compensation benchmarks in India.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles (software engineering, data, DevOps, product design).
  • Proven ability to source and close hard-to-find talent — not just active job seekers.
  • Technical literacy: able to hold a credible conversation about modern stacks (Java 17+, Spring Boot 3, Angular 18+, Cloud, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills: can sell the opportunity without overselling.
  • Process-driven, organized, and data-oriented: you can show us metrics that prove your effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with talent attraction strategies and market intelligence.

Preferred Skills or Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in fast-moving startups.
  • Established personal network of engineering talent in Mumbai, India.
