Job Description: New Product Development (NPD) Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented New Product Development (NPD) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the creation, development, and successful launch of new products, while working closely with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Design, Sales, and Marketing.


Location- Delhi/Mumbai


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough competition research to analyze products, including textures, formulations, colors, and packaging of new launches.
  • Develop and structure effective programs, with a focus on deriving competitive pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with interrelated teams, such as Quality Assurance and Design, to deliver product names, copy, claims, and ensure timely product launches and reorders.
  • Deliver regular Product Lifecycle Analysis, Color Development Strategies, NPD performance, and Pricing Strategies to support business objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new pricing structures for the business to drive profitability.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising (VM), Sales, and Marketing teams to strategize and implement promotional plans.
  • Oversee the overall execution of NPD programs, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in Business Development activities by identifying new opportunities and creating product collateral in line with brand guidelines.
  • Manage product development from concept to launch by conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, and developing integrated product introduction plans.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and product delivery.
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape through market research, store visits, and customer feedback to identify gaps and new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product development, pricing strategies, and market research.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing NPD strategies and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience in competitive analysis and business development is a plus.
